Gardner Village

About 10 days ago I met Lori, Sherri and Cindy (friend of Sherri's) at Gardner Village for a little girl get-together.
Gardner Village is a lovely shopping area in a country setting. And of course they have a great fabric store, Pine Needles. That little dog (on a leash) was dying to get to those ducks.
Pine Needles has a great selection of fabrics and sample quilts. I loved everything and they even had several fabrics in the Flower Sugar line. I'll post some of the lovely quilts Wednesday and Friday show a couple of the fabrics I acquired.
Of course my very favorite part of the day was being with the girls. Above right to left is Cindy, Sherri and Lori. Really I laughed so hard while we browsed. The girls were so much fun. We had little treats from each other to exchange. And we had a delicious lunch together (should have taken a picture of that).Sherri made us the sweetest pin cushions with strips of fabric. I'd seen them on her blog. I was so excited to get one. I brought it home and put it in my hand stitching kit. Thanks so much Sherri. Lori had the funnest stamps and little gift cards she had made for us. So darling.
She showed us how to use them. The stamps go with the acrylic cube and the little stamp parts pull off and on the cube. More on this another day when I can show you how this works. I love stamps and have several but I didn't know they came like this! And look at the sweeet gift cards she made. Thanks Lori!
Gardner Village is just such a beautiful place. If you ever get to the Salt Lake area you must stop by. I want this bathtub in my yard.
I bought this little cupcake stand at the Village White Shop. It was inexpensive and so so cute. Next to the Pine Needles, the Village White Shop is my 2nd favorite store.

I'm using Paint to edit my pictures right now and I'm still not on my computer yet. It just is slow going and I don't have a lot of free time to work with it. But I figured I'd better just try to hobble along for now. I don't know how I got the computer virus. I do know sometimes these malware viruses act like Windows updates. So be careful you are downloading a real Windows update. I did get an external hard drive to back my computer up in the future. Maybe my next computer will be a Mac. My kids share a Mac and it works great for them.

Onward and Upward! Thanks again for all your support, ideas, and kind words.

-nanette

What a fun day with Sherri and Lori. And I'm so glad you don't mind meeting up with Lori again so soon. At least it will be a first for me. I love all the stores at Gardners Village too, especially Pine Needles. She has always run a beautiful store.

Ahhhhhhh what a wonderful day you girls must have had together. The shops look awesome and that little cupcake holder is just down right adorable! How cute :) So tell me, has it had a cupcake on it yet??? Maybe a little fabric one would be cute on a permanent basis :) Good wishes continuing for your computer.

"I" want that tub for "My" yard! LOL When I was in grade school our teacher had a tub like that in the classroom loaded with pillows. It was a reward to be able to have reading time in the bathtub! I want one in my back yard for the summer! Wouldn't have be fun!
