Fabulous Fabric Friday is back

Fabulous Fabric Fridays are back. I have a couple Friday posts worth of fabric ready to hit the blog but I'll work forward from last week and get caught up here in a couple Fridays. When I met with Lori and Sherri 2 weeks ago I told you we went to Pine Needles for fun shopping/dreaming together. I specifically had some fabric to pick out for my daughter's wedding quilt but I can't show you that! Anyway that quilt is finally done and at the quilters now. Maybe when it comes back I'll sneak a peak on the blog before the wedding.
These are some fat quarters I picked up while we shopped. Don't worry, I won't use all 3 of them in the same project! That was something we laughed about together. We have the problem of worrying someone might think we were putting fabric (that doesn't match) from several projects together! Do you ever worry about that?
Here are some little Japanese cuts. The little silhouette fabric is something I've never seen before. So cute.
I also got some basics. I'm making my Alpine Quilt in Red and Aqua so I was happy to find this dot in just the right shade. I also found green and white for the background fabric in my Sunbonnet Sue squares.
It was really funny that we gals were drawn to the same fabrics. I totally like the trees and apples in the fall color fabrics. If I had more time I'd be making a fall quilt right now (can you believe next Tues. is the first day of autumn!). And this yellow on the end I can use in my Sue quilt as well.
I mentioned that Pine Needles had Sugar Flower. I'd been wanting something larger than a fat quarter in this blue and was so excited they had a bolt so I picked up a little bit extra. This is another fabric grouping we girls were all attracted to.
I made a run to the Quilting Cottage to see my friend Suzanne. They have some fun fabrics and I'm going to hang one of my small "Kettles in the Kitchen" quilts at the store when I get it finished (thanks Suzanne!). I loved catching up with Suzanne and she had a little gift for me.
Isn't this vintage fabric amazing! I love it so much. The colors and design are right in with what I'm feeling right now. Oh I might just not sleep one day so I can cut a little bit of this and celebrate the coming fall with a little applique project. Thanks again, Suzanne. I really do love this. While I was there I saw this ......
really cute paper doll fabric. I'm a sucker for little girl's dresses. So a little bit came home with me. It has such personality. I can see a fun little bag with the clothes and dolls inside mounted on heavy pellon for a little girl's quiet play time. I am a ways off with my soon to be born granddaughter playing with toys, but still but you can't be too prepared. Either that or it would make a sweet border fabric. We'll see.

Happy FFF. Have a nice weekend. Hope I get lots of things done. But today I play. I'm going to meet with Nedra, Kim and Lori for lunch!!!

"Fabulous Fabric Friday!" Now that's a tongue twister. I tried to say it 3 times really fast, but I failed (LOL). It's a fun kinda day tho and you got yourself some wonderful pieces. I especially love that little paper doll piece; and "dots," no matter what the color, always speak to my heart :)
