I couldn't pass up this Moda print though. It was $2.50/yard and there were bolts of it. I opted for 8 yards to use for quilt backs. I think I've mentioned before that though I have a nice stash of lots of fabrics but I rarely buy more than 1 yard of fabric. However, at this price, for quilt backs, I thought it was a good neutral to suit a couple upcoming projects. I usually say if I don't have a specific project in mind and like a certain fabric I will buy a fat quarter, if I really like it, I buy a half yard and if I LOVE it I buy a yard.
I really LOVE this Japanese manufactured piece but I only have a fat quarter (at this point). I didn't use it at Bryce, Mostly I'm just enjoying staring at it.
I did take this piece to Bryce to use but I didn't get far enough in my baskets yet to use it but I am keeping it handy so I can cut a piece for "Going to Market".
I didn't use this one either. I have a half yard so plenty for fussy cutting and maybe a basket.
This one is more of a thicker weight bark cloth fabric. I did think it would make a cute basket but just didn't seem right with my others when I got it out to compare. Maybe later.
I'm pretty sure I'll use this one for one of the smaller baskets. Red apple trees just say "happy" to me.
I have one more post to finish up Bryce next week. I really need to crack the whip and get all my fabric and accessories put away. I haven't had the time or inclination yet but I can't stand the confusion I'm working in. I had to come home to some more urgent projects but I will set aside some weekend time to fold and organize. I wonder if I can get some helpers in the hive to lend a hand? No school here today so I'll see what I coax out of the younger two.

Despite being on the opposite side of the country ... I'll come help - because I would love to see your stash in person. You may need to count everything before I leave.
As always, beautiful fabric Nanette; and I love that great deal you got on the first piece! I just did some much needed organization in my sewing room last w/e and it feels soooooo much better :) The best of luck to you on yours!

The Japanese have cornered the market on CUTE. I wish more US designers would make strippy kind of cute prints.
Love the fabric and love the posts that you've done about BRYCE. It looked like a lot of fun. Have a great weekend.
I am so proud of myself. I didn't buy any fabric at Bryce. (OK, I did buy some little squeeky shoes for my grand daughter. Those I couldn't resist!)
$2.50 a yard! Wow, I would have bought 8 yards too. :) I love all your fabrics...
Jennifer :)
My work space is "confusing" now, too. (I like the word "confusing" SO much better than "messy"....hehehe) I need to get things in order again, too, after which I will very quickly proceed to get them into a "confusing" state again!!!
I LOVE that cute little apple tree fabric Nanette! You need to find a Red Riding Hood fabric to go with it!
One seems cuter than the other ...

cute, cute fabrics Nanette! Since I come from a background of sewing clothing, I have the opposite problem, I always buy 2-3 yards of fabric lol. I couldn't for the life of me figure out why someone would only buy a fq (actually, I didn't even know what that was!). Now I understand a bit more, but old habits die hard!
Love all the fabs. Good deal on that backing fabric. I have some of that but I didnt get a deal on it. That is going to make a pretty backing.
The fabric in that fourth photo down is interesting. I've never seen anything like it!
All gorgeous, Nanette - they'll keep!
Hugs - Lurline♥
