My custom quilter Wren of Sew Small Sitches just finished my main market quilt. I can't say enough about Wren's skills and the attention to detail in my market quilt. I can't wait for you to see the whole thing. But of course I can't reveal until market time. But I can show you some sneak peaks. Above in the pic is the border for my quilt titled "Happy Homemaker - Everyone needs a Chef" I'm not finished hand stitching the binding down yet. But I love my giant rick rack and how it goes with Wren's border stitching.
There are 10 blocks with applique in the quilt and 6 blocks cut from a panel. Each applique block is quilted uniquely.
Each block has an individual personality.
And I adore each design.
This is the back of one of my blocks. Can you believe the crazy detail from Wren's quilting?
Here is another showing the back side of the quilt. It is really fantastic. If you are going to quilt market you must drop by the RJR booth and see Wren and Wendy's work.
Well, and mine, too ;-).

Wow, that is fab! You both did a super job! Very talented. Keep 'em coming! lol
I agree, that ric-rack is perfect in the binding. I'm going to file this away in the back of my mind for someday. Those quilting details are amazing, can't wait to see more.
Strangely,I was just wondering if I could put ric-rac in a binding, just 5 minutes ago. I am finishing up a project and had forgotten the ric-rac when I put the sashing on it. Beautiful quilting. The clothes lines design, absolutely perfect!
Thanks Nanette for sharing the quilting photos...so often we don't get to see the work of these talented people!
Wonderful example of two creative minds :) I do my own machine quilting and this is of course way beyond my skills--but I do plan to use rickrack in a little baby quilt I am making right now...and it's red!
It's beautiful! I can't wait to see the real deal ;0)
The quilting can really make or break a quilt sometimes. This is exciting.
Ween really does a wonderful job. I remember I met her years ago when we went on the same trip with Bonnie Miles. She was just beginning then, and has continued to improve her skills.
Nanette, it's a treat to get a taste of your projects for RJR booth. Thank you for sharing! The quilting details are amazing!!
That quilting is awesome. I especially like the one of the jeans on the line. Quilting does make the quilt.
Wren's quilting is absolutely incredible!!! I'd love to see the front too .... it looks so stunning from the back so the front must be breathtaking ;o)!!
Hugs,
Joy :o)
Wonderful Nanette! Look forward to seeing the front :-)
I can't wait to see it Nanette! I should pin a note to the back of it so you'll see it when it gets back to you LOL!
So glad you are sharing "peeks" as I will not be at Market. The "peeks" are awesome. Can't wait to see the whole quilt! Love the runner, too!
Yes, thank you, Nanette for sharing with those of us who are not able to attend Market...yet. I am the eternal optimist, right? LOL LOVE the giant rick rack embellishment...I'm going to have to hunt some down.
Happy Quilting,
Heather
=)
I will be there!! I am definitely stopping by to see these beauties. Are you going to be there? I sure wish you would be..
After everything we do, the quilting just makes the whole project feel amazing. Especially when you have someone who does extra special work. I am really looking forward to seeing the other side of your quilt. I know it is just as beautiful as the back.
Wow! And don't forget to show us who will not be at market!
Nanette, I can't wait to see them, I'm hoping nothing comes up to keep me from the quilt festival and market. The little peeps your showing just makes us want to see more. Love your sewing room organizing you and Natalie did. Ya want to come do mine?
The quilting is gorgeous Nanette and your patterns look lovely too. I'm excited to see the whole quilt(s). Thanks for sharing a sneak peak.
Your quilting is beautiful. I will look for your quilts at the Houston Market/Show.
Beautiful quilting, love the ric rac next to the binding.
Can't WAIT! Can't WAIT! Can't WAIT!
