Happy Valentine's Day

When I was a kid I loved Valentine's Day. Getting that pack of store bought valentines and my "class list" was so exciting. I would sit at the kitchen table and paw through the valentines picking out valentines for each classmate that matched my friendship or feelings for them. Ahhh. Good times.
Valentine's Day is pretty low key. I love red and love those vintage valentine images. When my kids were little we'd do fun things with them and for them on Valentine's Day like red scrambled eggs and new underwear.
I did make some cookies for Mr. Hive and a friend brought some over for me. Mr. Hive doesn't like sugar cookies and prefers plain oatmeal. So that is what I made.

I think my valentine this year is Allison. She's such a sweetheart.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I used to have a bunch of old valentine's like that I found at a yard sale but they were ruined in storage. I'd love to find more...they are so sweet!

Happy Valentines Day, Nanette! Allison is such a cute little Valentine. :-) Last night I was looking at photos of when my grandson was little and almost posted one to my blog as my "little valentine". Then I changed my mind as he is 11 and a big boy now, not into sentimental things. LOL! Time passes to quickly!

Such a sweet picture Nanette. Now...what are we going to do with Mr. Hive? This sugar cookie dislike must be dispensed with. I suggest slowly sneaking sugar cookie crumbs into his other food groups. Increase the size as the days go by and before you know it, he'll be eating an entire sugar cookie -- Yay!!!
