More Family History Flag Progress

I told you I was making more flags. And so here is my latest ones:
The easy easy Danish flag. These are just as fun to make as they are easy. Everyone should have Danish heritage!
The Slovak flag - not as easy but just as fun. I snuck in some of my Denyse Schmidt fabric here in this one.
The Union Jack flag isn't complete yet. But I have the strip piecing finished.
You can see here how it comes together. The pattern is in the background showing the template layout diagram. I made the template cut from a file folder. There are 2 directions to set the template to get the cuts right for the flag. I learned that the hard way from a mistake made on my first flags. Love love this fabric. I'm really going to try to stay up one night this weekend and start sewing these flags together. It's fun.

Good question, Dianne before me, Nanette maybe you previously said but could you tell us if there is a pattern for all this "flaginess" and how many flags does it contain? I love what you are doing, they are so pretty.

Hey, Sorensen is Danish. In fact, in Copenhagen it's a very common last name like Smith is here in the U.S.
Nice to know the Danish flag is so easy to make.

My husband is first generation American. His dad was born in Hals, Denmark and we can trace the family back to the 1600's. I'm thinking I should really be making a quilt with a Danish flag for him and the Irish for me/my dad's side of the family. Toss in Scotland for my mom and England/Germany for his mom and I would almost have a quilt! I'll add it to my list. :-)

LOVE how it is coming along, I just bought a scrapbook paper that is almost identical to the light blue floral you used in the Union Jack. I am guessing you have had it for awhile...if not let me know where you got it.
