More birthday booty

This feels incredibly self-serving to post the birthday fun given by my family but I tell myself our blog is to share things about us so avert your eyes if you don't want to see how spoiled I am (Darlene said I am loved not spoiled so I'm really going with that). Not every birthday is like this, really. It was a very special year.

We use one bakery and one bakery only for birthday cakes in my house. Lehi Country Bakery. It was yummy.

Justin, Natalie's boyfriend brought me flowers and . . .

. . . he made dinner. His salmon is legendary. It was really nice to have dinner prepared by him. It was so incredibly yummy.

I did make bread. So I contributed something!

This is a picture of gifts from Jamie (cups), Laurie (book and tea towel) and Mason (coupon book. I had seen the cups on the Anthropologie site a while ago and was admiring them. They are the most darling measuring cups. I'm going to hang them in the kitchen. The book (note the title) is Laurie's way of telling me I'm a senior citizen. The whole book is filled with post-it notes of hilarious comments made by Laurie. You'd have to see it to get it but it is extremely funny, mostly at my expense! And I love the cute tea towel, also going to be hung in the kitchen. Mason made the nicest coupon book that I am totally using. Its full of things he will gladly (hopefully) do for me. Sweet, huh!

I love monograms! Another Anthropologie item from Whitney. You should smell the soap. It is so fragrant and beautiful. And the sweet little birds - so darling. I love it.

Shelbie got me some incredible things. The bird theme continues with these darling vintage postcards and the beautiful bowl set. See the cute little bird in the middle sized one. Also from Anthropologie. Nice, huh. And then she got me some Japanese import fabric and twill tape. I'm going to use snippets from them right away to embellish the little dresses I'm making.
This birdie box is from Natalie. Its a hand painted tile box from Xenia Taler. I love the colors and the vintage sweetness of the birdie. It is just so cute and perfect.
This handmade bead and silver bracelet is from Tracey and Eliot. Its in my favorite color, red. It will go with so many things. I've already worn it twice (shh - it came before my birthday and I opened it up when it arrived). Love it.
Incredible gift tote full of amazing wonderful goodies. All things I love from my sister and brother-in-law. They totally spoiled me.
Here it is layed out in all its splendor. These books are some I wanted and looked at and really "needed". Mary E fabric - of course I love it. Quilting and cooking accessories, so much more, and . . .
. . . a lovely apron! Lorraine is an inredible quilter and seamstress. This all is so over the top I can hardly believe it!
And last but certainly not least is a very very special gift from my dear mother-in-law, father-in-law and husband, Dave. It came in a little white box and I dare not show it! It is so incredible. Its kind of a big huge gift for several occasions all rolled into one. I couldn't love it more.
And there is more I can't even show . . . and all my sisters phoned me and I got the sweetest cards from them. It was a birthday to remember. Thank you everyone. - nanette

My favorites...the bowls, vintage postcards, tea towel and darling measuring cups. I may be heading out to Anthropologie once our Midwest storms have passed.

Wow! You are REALLY REALLY loved!!! What a wonderful load of gifts. I love my Ina books -- some of our favorite recipes are in her books. What fun you'll have in that spiffy new apron testing out all her recipes!
