Buggy Weekend

A bug is being passed around at our house and so I spent the weekend pretty much on the couch. I really hate to miss Saturday sewing.
The only things I really accomplished was sewing the sashing onto my new quilt and updating my Etsy shop. Those patterns I've been meaning to get listed are finally up. I haven't decided on a final border for the outside of this quilt yet but it is nice to get the blocks put together and have the sashing done.I don't know about you but sashing is not really my favorite thing to do. I remember the first quilt I sashed years ago. The sashing looked like a wavy line. Eek it was bad.At least it made me feel better about not being in Pittsburgh. I would have been sick and not able to do much there. I hope everyone there has had fun and market has been a success. I just wish I could have a sneak peek at all those up and coming fabric lines. I hope to catch up on market news this week by reading blogs and get my Google reader under control.

Sorry about your bug. I hate not feeling well on weekends.

Does this quilt have aprons on it? I'm trying to figure it out from the picture. I love the colors you used - so bright and cheerful!

Get well ----

I think there's a law that says no getting sick on a weekend in the spring. I like that sashing - maybe once you feel better - you'll like the sashing better too?

Perhaps the bug is blog-wide. You're the second one I've read with a bug. Get well! I'm loving visiting all the market photos from various designers. Oh how I would have loved to be at least a fly on the wall!

Sorry you are not feeling well. But look at it this way, your quilt is closer to the finish line even though you were only able to get the sashing on.

Awe.. I am so sorry you are on the couch. Here I just commented on your last week of posts.. not realizing you were down. SORRY!
Hey.. maybe next year you could actually schedule to come to Pittsburgh..? I am not a vendor.. so would not be able to get in to the show.. but if you are in Pittsburgh that is definitely close enough that we could meet for lunch. :-)

sorry to hear you've not been well! we've all been really sick too - and I hear you about the lack of sewing. You know you're really sick when you aren't even enthused by the sight of fabric. Hope you're feeling better soon!

Sorry you have been visited by a flu blug. It would not have been fun to be at Market and be sick. I look forward to lots of Market news, too. The bug bites I got last week are almost healed up now. If I had been at Market and not out walking the dog, I wouldn't have been attacked by the sand fleas that are thick in the spring. Market is in Minneapolis next spring and I'll be there and not out walking the dog!

Hi nanette-
I thought I would check in to see what you're up to and your sick!!!
So sorry:)
But you're also up to good things as usual- I love the sashing choice on your quilt (which BTW I am waiting to see all of). The fabric really makes the other colors pop...

Hope you are feeling better. Those nasty little bugs sure can ruin a weekend can't they? I'm glad you were well enough to get a little sewing in.
