Binding Weekend

I hope you all had a nice Easter Weekend at your house. It was nice here but mostly cool and it snowed a bit last night. We had a nice family party on Saturday at my in-laws and it was great to see everyone and have a good time together at the egg hunt. My kids look forward to it every year. Sunday was a quiet Easter at home. The weekend was spent hand stitching binding and finishing up my Quilt Market projects and getting them ready to mail off today.
I wish I could show you more. I've put so much work into this. All in good time, you'll see what I've been up to.
I'm going to be very happy when my package reaches it's destination and is photographed and readied for Market. I am a long ways from being totally done with my work on this, though. I have patterns to write now! Not as much fun as sewing but still very important.
I got my "Going to Market" basket quilt back from the quilter last week. I need to finish stitching the binding but here is a little piece of the corner. I have really just begun to stitch the binding and when I'm done I'll hang it up and photograph to show you. It turned out great except for one thing. More on that later this week.

Ooooh, the tantalizing hints! It all looks so interesting and pretty. Some of my favorite colors, too! And isn't it funny - you had snow and we've had to turn the air conditioner on.

I'm jealous you got binding done while you watched. I had planned on it but then ran out of the thread I needed to quilt the quilt! I got one hexagon flower done. Can't wait to see your quilt!

I found some black and white striped fabric like you used in your handles and almost bought some thinking, I could make a "Going to Market" quilt....and then I stopped myself and thought....finish some things before you add any more!! LOL! I'm looking forward to seeing your quilt at Market!

I love binding quilts during Conference. Somehow this time around I forgot to get one ready, but I did clean out my sewing room during Saturday afternoon. Loved it. :)

Good luck with Market!! I can't wait to see/hear more. :)
