BFF Lunch

I really love Christmas surprises and I like to wait to open every gift until Christmas Eve or Christmas day. Sometimes it is hard to wait but I try to hold out because the anticipation is to be savored. When I was a girl I snooped and ruined all my Christmases so maybe that is why I love to wait now.
However, I met Lori for a last minute BFF lunch on Saturday. (We were so busy talking we didn't even get to one of the main reasons we met up!) We did exchange special Christmas gifts and I wasn't going to open mine but Lori twisted my arm (ha). Lori is one of those unique people that are really and truly gifted. Her skills are so amazing. She never fails to shock with her talent.
She made this amazing vintage snowman box. Every bit of it. I will treasure it for every Christmas to come. Look what is inside. It looks like Christmas candy - sweet and yummy. These are fat 6ths. And they are new to me. That is hard to do! Thank you so much Lori.
I put it in my entryway to shine with my Christmas treasures vintage and new. It fits in perfectly. Don't you just love it! Wish you could see it in person.

What a lovely gift...and not just because it's so charming and adorable, but because it was thoughtful as well! Sweet friendship!

You guys do the best gifts!!!! The snowman is super cute. In the 50's my sister and I had matching polka dot skirts that were that same color as your snowman box. How cool to find it filled with fabric!
Love that teacup in the photo, too. Have a great day! I am off to meet Collette and Jacob for lunch and some shopping. Gloomy as can be outside but we will make our own sunshine. LOL!

Awwww......what a sweet gift! She's got you pegged all right - cute vintage-y container filled with new fabric-y toys! It is adorable, and you've picked a sweet place to display it, too.

What a thoughtful and delightful gift! No wonder you were distracted and forgot one of the reasons you got together. I'm happy you have such fun together! Lots of Hugs and Merry Christmas to you.

So are you - I love the Mixed Bag pattern I ordered - a Christmas present is under the tree using your pattern!
Merry Christmas!

The box is wonderful! Good job Lori! Funny, what you said in the beginning about having to know EVERY present beforehand when you were younger so now you want everything to be a surprise. That's me! I won't even help our kids unload presents from the car 'cause I'm afraid I'll guess what's in 'em! :-)
It's been a pleasure reading your posts and watching your successes this year, Nanette. You are a real treat! Enjoy the holidays with that lovely family of yours,

What an awesome gift...I think that size would be wonderful. Fat Eighths make me so happy! Imagine how ecstatic a few more inches would make me.

Off to check the dimensions as it's the first I've heard of them, too. THANKS so much for always keeping us in the know. =)

Best Wishes and a VERY Happy New Year to you & yours.
