Dear Blog.....confession

My dearest Freda's Hive Blog.......

I know I've been preoccupied with about 8 different projects. I apologize. I wish I could say things were going to turn around really quickly but I am not sure that is going to happen. I love blogging and I love my readers. Don't get me wrong! I'm not going to stop blogging. I'm here to stay. But this letter is to let you in on one of the little reasons I've been slightly preoccupied lately.

I've been seeing another webpage. There I said it. I'm glad to get it out in the open. Sigh. I'm confessing to two-timing my blog at another site: Freda's Hive at Pinterest. If you go there you'll see some more of my "likes". I hate to tell you this, blog, but Pinterest is a new happening place. All the cool girls are doing it. I would list all the Pinterest pages of all the cool gals but I don't want to leave anyone out and you can see some of those I follow over there on my page anyway. Don't be upset. It is just more good stuff. I hope you understand.
I found out about this magazine over there. It is from Australia and I want to support my girls over yonder so I ordered it. But here is biggest worry regarding cruising Pinterest - blowing my monthly fun budget with all the ideas there. There is so much to see and love. More than you can even imagine.

I won't quit you blogger. But make room for Pinterest. I am certain Pinterest is here to stay.

P.S. This is also one of the reasons I'm preoccupied. I got my "Dreaming Princess" quilt, made with Riley Blake fabric, back from my quilter, Wren. She did an amazing, fantastic, incredible job. I love it. I've been embellishing crowns and working on quilt instructions. Hopefully by next week I'll have a pattern and a reveal.

I sooo want that magazine...where did you order yours from? I want to order today!

Pinterest is wonderful...and evil at the same time....I could spend so much time there that I don't sew!!!

Just checked out Pinterest. What fun that looks like, fun and addictive. Aren't you cutting edge (!), I've never even heard of this before. Is the princess quilt which looks absolutely darling for anyone special?

I didn't read your last line, a pattern for this? That's exciting, I'm looking forward to seeing it.

I ordered issue one of the magazine and loved it - but to me it is not worth the price - that is one expensive magazine - I don't know how they can charge that much for a magazine - I thought I was ordering a year subscription and then found out it was for one issue!

I've spent some money myself because of Pinterest.. I've had to pace myself a bit. So how is the magazine? I've been curious, but wanted to know what someone thought before I went and ordered it.

I saw a photo of a quilt from a Japanese quilt magazine and thought of you. Strawberries... Here's a tiny URL for you to check it out.

Should have said - it's about half-way down on the left hand side.

I think the price of anything from Australia is because of Homeland Security add surcharges to scan any material entering the US.
When you consider the dollar against the Aussie dollar it should be cheaper, but it isn't.
Love the quilt and will have a boo at the site.

I've lost a few hours of time at Pinterest myself! I tried to sign up last week, but I am now on a waiting list. Apparently it is still in beta mode. Can't wait to get in and get started!

Your quilt turned out so sweet.
I've heard of Printerest but I've not made time to explore it. Maybe some time soon.

There's been a lot of chatter about Pinterest on Facebook. I have a hard time keeping up with Facebook, plus my blog and two Yahoo groups. I love all the Internet connections but I enjoy the real connections to and am not sure I can fit in one more on-line thing. I am considering a possible website, too, and there are so many possiblities and only so much time to do them!

I love your quilt Nanette...it's so adorable and I really like the red gingham:)
Pinterest looks fun and interesting but i know for me it would be way too much of a distraction...lol.
I really don't need another addiction to take me away from my work....haha.
I'm fickle that way....as you well know:)
Can't wait to see the finished quilt!
