Fabric Friday a tad late

Kind of late in the day but it is still Friday so it is time to celebrate fabric.
These Japanese fabric fat quarters are going to make it into a hexagon project. Sooner or later. They are so pretty. For some reason I've been using a lot of pink lately.
I had this daisy fabric in a green color and since I'm always looking for sweet neutral prints so I was glad to find it in the light background.
I don't think I've announced yet that my daughter Whitney is expecting her first baby and our first grandchild in October (yes, the same month we have a wedding). If it is a girl I am definitely using these Michael Miller repro vintage kitty prints in a quilt or two. Whitney loves kitties so this would be perfect for her.
I know, I know, this doesn't look like me at all. But this sweet rose print has got to make it into a quilt at some point. My problem is I really don't have other fabrics that compliment it. So for now it just is pretty to look at.
Ok back to my normal fabrics. I love novelty prints with words. Especially kitchen prints. This is really a fun fabric to use. And it is in delicious red.
This is a vintage kitchen print. I don't have quite enough of it to use as a border for my new pattern/quilt. I love it though. Now this fabric is ME!

Happy Weekend. - nanette

That last print is wonderful. Like a painting hanging in a museum.. I could look at it all day.
Nice presentation of all your special fabrics. :-) The kitties are so cute. I wonder what gender the baby will be. If a boy.. he is going to be a little prince in your family. :-)

Better late than never, as the saying goes...I would love to see what you do with the rose print. I don't think you've featured a quilt with that kind of print, have you? I love all your kitchen prints. And congratulations Grandma!

Hi N, being a g-ma is the best! I know you'll love it! #'s 11 and 12 will join our family by the end of the year--one in Nov and one in Dec--unless 'they' have other plans;) Your kitten fabs reminded me of some that I have that I bought years ago at a garage sale, of all places. There's about 5 yards that I got for $1!!! It's lt pink flannel with pussy willows on it and the pussy willow buds are little kittens...Think I'm going to have to go searching for that one---Thanks;)

You're right...that kitchen print is you!! I love it!! The yellow background was the color of my kitchen for many years before we moved. I thought I never wanted to see yellow again because it was soooooo bright but I find that I like yellow a lot! Reminds me of dandelions which are colorful and pretty when in bloom and then poof! they're gone! The kitty prints will make a darling baby quilt!!
