Fabric Friday to Warm the Winter Blahs

Now that Christmas is over I really thought I would be able to get back into blogging and visiting like I used to. That has not happened yet. The weather is plenty cold like most Januarys and I wish I could wave a magic wand and create my very own snow day to sew and sip hot chocolate. I have a pattern to write and 2 quilts to bind but I must fit them in between life. I have had a cold this week, too, which hasn't helped productivity. On to fabric Friday. Fabric always brightens any day. This Melody Miller fabric is really capturing the spotlight right now. It is selling like hotcakes. I love the 60's life portrayed in this fabric. Casseroles, housekeeping, and shopping in dresses. I could escape into this lifestyle.
Both these fabrics are linen blend, not quilt weight, but perfect for bags, table toppers, home dec sewing and fun projects. I've been known to put a linen blend into a quilt now and then, though.
Last Friday when I was at American Quilting with Lori and Rae Ann, I saw this fabric in Rae Ann's pile so I had a little bit cut for me too. I see something for Allison in this. Not sure what yet.
I also indulged in a few new fat quarters. Dear Betty is a sweet line and I've wanted a tiny piece of this since I saw it online.
I'm always excited to get a cute orange. This is another Dear Betty.
I thought this owl fabric would be really fun to fussy cut. I can see it in the center of a block. It really is cute.
This Lecien is a reprint of a fabric I purchased back in the early 2000s. I used all of it over the years so I was excited to see Lecien reprint this sweet novelty fabric. Speaking of Lecien. Have you seen their new USA website yet? I see a little bit of Monica there.

Wish me a blizzard so I can be snowed in! Unfortunately Utah has great snow removal so this rarely happens.

So sorry that there is no snow for you. Don't you hate when life gets in the way of quilting! We need about 3 more hours to a day, just to quilt.
Love those owls and that grey teacup, casserole fabric. You never fail to show me fabrics that I need to find.
Take care

Nanette, you get more done than most anyone I know. So don't be too hard on yourself. LOL I'll just enjoy seeing what you're doing when you have time to post. As always - I like ALL your fabrics!

Love the Lecien fabric. What is Merry Bon Bon?
I see you have some gray fabric, that is always hard to find.
Hope you find some time to sew.

The 60's type fabric took me back. You can keep the snow, we have had a load of it this winter but now we can see the grass at last! (although I couldnt get out it was a good excuse to do lots of crafty things!!)
