Mason's Sweater

My brother, Mason, for months has been begging me to make him a sweater. So, researching for the hardiest yarn I could find - I used Rowan Denim to create him the following sweater.
(He doesn't look very happy, does he.)

I used as a basis for this pattern, the Hoodie pattern from Debbie Stoller's Son of Stich 'n Bitch. - I made a number of changes, including making the hoodie a zip-up, adding the cable pattern, which I found in Vogue Stitionary II, as the Snake.

He has not been very patient for this to get done, but he is very excited to have it now!

Here is a close-up of the yarn and a bit of the cabling. I have loved working with this yarn, and I am planning on making a skirt now!-

Oh my goodness! That sweater is great! You are a very nice sis. I don't think I would have ever gone through the trouble to make any of my brothers something like this. Maybe my dad.
Terrific!

That's really beautiful! And I think Mason looks very handsome - and about as smiley as all the teenage boys I know - he's being sophisticated ;-) Are you going to knit a skirt in that wool - yum! Can't wait to see it!
