Alpine Quilt Group July 2010

Last Tuesday was our monthly quilt meeting and I took some really pitiful photos. I started out okay and ended up with my battery dying and me using my iphone which equaled some not so hot photography.
Here is Paula, our leader this year, holding up the most darling bag.
This strip quilt is really cute. I think this is another good idea for those Moda Candy Bars.
Bonnie recently finished her "Going to Market" basket quilt. I love it. Of course.
Helen and one of her prize winning quilts.
Flora made this new quilt for her bedroom. It turned out lovely. Who wouldn't want this on their bed!
Flora also made this quilt from a Sandy Klop line that will soon be hitting stores. Cute.
Here is the famous Jill Finley. She is showing one of her newest patterns. I really love this one Jill. This would make a lovely quilt for a guest room I think.
Here is Lori showing us a "stash only " quilt she made for her soon to be daughter-in-law. Love those "free" type quilts.
We had a marvelous trunk show by Amy of American Quilting in Orem, Utah. Amy is a sweetheart and has a wonderful shop. Amy brought 3 of her daughters and her DIL (plus a baby grandson). None of my photos with the them turned out, sadly. But they were a great help to their mom. Amy is showing a block from a vintage quilt her grandmother made. Of course I loved it.
This is also a vintage quilt belonging to Amy. Love the fabrics. And Trip Around the World is one of my personal favorite patterns.
I'm so glad my camera lasted at least this long to get the vintage quilts Amy showed. Isn't this kitty in the pussy willows so incredibly cute!
Here we get into the iphone photos. Sorry. This is a beautiful quilt though.
This is a recreation quilt based on the vintage block in the frame that Amy showed above.
Amy's basket quilt.
Sorry you can't see these. These are 2 sunbonnet quilts. They are really fun.
This is one of Amy's block of the month quilts. Amy has more than 500 women that come to the shop to participate in her block of the month projects. Isn't that amazing. I adore Amy and she has great stuff going on with her own store and successful pattern company.

Quilt group was fun! Holy Cow it is August already now.

Love the quilts and the bag. I was the teacher of this bag last week at Dave's Bernina. Was it Kaye that brought the bag. It looks like you always have fun at your group. I have a post about the bag class on my blog.

I had to go back a second time and look at them all over again! They're all so beautiful, and it's unbelievable how many patterns there are out there, and more being created every day. And that quilt with the kitties in the pussy willows? Easily the cutest quilt ever!
Happy Monday!
