I'm Pulling Fabric and Making Butterflies

I'm back to sewing my own thing.  Yayy!  And as much as I'm grateful to be represented at International Quilt Market later this month, I'm excited to be sewing now with fabric from my stash and working on something I've been wanting to do for a while.   Butterflies!!  I've got all my strips cut out.  And I'm going to make 12 butterflies from Amy's tutorial
You know butterflies have been everywhere.  I've been so inspired by everyone making them.  I made a few just to dabble one afternoon but that only seemed to serve as an appetizer.  So it was with great enjoyment I began my own real butterfly project.  I'll show you what I'm going to do with them next week.

Now normally I'm not actually a butterfly lover.  But fabric butterflies are something else, especially these.  Enough chat.  Gotta sew!

I had an old quilt which somehow got lost that had appliqued old fashioned butterflies.. Actually 30s fabrics on the butterflies.
This is quite modern isn't it?

I just got my butterfly quilt back from the quilter. I'm so happy you have joined us because they are quite addictive.

I'm so glad that you're back to your own stash and to the butterflies!
They are so much fun to make.
Each and every one looks so different and is a perfect block for fussy cutters like you!
Mine are coming along nicely...
Have fun with them...

Can't wait to see these...I sent off two market quilts a couple of weeks ago, one market quilt yesterday and have fabric arriving again today for another--THEN I'll be able to get back to my own stash full time...can't wait!

See, I think I'm the opposite of you -- I love butterflies in the wild, but not normally a picture/fabric butterfly lover. But your fabrics are so gorgeous together, I might change my mind!

And, can I just say (since I've been complaining about blogger recently) that your blog is the easiest blogger blog ever to comment on. What is your secret? You don't have a word verification -- do you get a lot of spam? And you don't make me log in or anything. Whatever you're doing (if it's you -- maybe blogger just loves YOU) -- THANKS!
