It arrived!

The tea swap package arrived. And that sneaky Stephanie partnered us with the person we sent our package to so we got to give each other a present. That was fun. My partner is Lorraine. She's a sweetie from down-under. I've enjoyed lurking mostly on her blog but I had been a fan of hers before the swap. Lorraine is multi talented and a great stitcher. Something I admire. It was exciting to open the package and see what was inside. Everything was wrapped up inside this vintage feed sack and tied with twill tape full of wonderful words. Lorraine definitely knows what I like. Inside was blue tissue paper and I could see through the paper. The feed sack has a twin!
Another beautiful full feed sack both intact with stitching and everything. Those are not easy to come by. And to have twins is double the fun. I love the colors and the print. I think they are sweet peas. I'm so loving this turquoise color accented with yellow and red. Inside I was greeted with one of Lorraine's great stitcheries, more twill tape and more feed sack love!
Lorraine has been paying attention! I love feed sack charm squares. They make me smile and inspire my projects This one is my favorite. Though it was hard to choose because they are all really great. I love the colors and the fruit. It was fun to open all the prizes up and spread them out to admire.
Don't you love the embroidered vintage linen! I'm going to put these on my side board under dishes and teapots.
Lorraine is going to have to educate me about this Nestle's Milo. It looks great. I love hot chocolate and this maybe a cousin to hot chocolate. Look at the darling darling tea cozy Lorraine made. I don't make ruffles because they are so hard so I can appreciate her workmanship. And it is red. And it has stitching on it too!

Since it was St. Patrick's Day I thought I'd choose this green bunny teapot to wear my new cozy. I'm going to display it on my china hutch.

Thank you so much Lorraine! I appreciate your work and picking out things that really are "me".

I'll have to show my goodies I made for Lorraine tomorrow. She got her package yesterday too!

You got Milo!!! Woo Hoo!!! Yes it's kind of like Hot Chocolate - growing up in New Zealand, everyone had Milo, especially us LDS folk :) I don't think I'd really even had hot chocolate until I came to the States. It's a staple in every home, and if you go to my parent's house, right now, you'll be offered a chocolate biscuit(cookie) and a cup of Milo. And at ward functions or girls camp, you don't have a big pot of hot chocolate to give everyone, it's a big pot of Milo:) You get it, now, yes??! And luckily for me, you can actually buy it in the States, in most supermarkets, in the Mexican section. Go figure:)

All your other goodies look lovely too:)

Cripes - milo, that reminds me of being a kid. My Granny used to use condensed milk to make it really sweet and sickly. Enjoy it!!!! (but maybe leave out the condensed milk - it's enough to make your teeth scream!)

Those gifts are amazing - what a wonderful parcel, I think I'd have had to sit down and spend a whole morning admiring them. You lucky girl!!!

Just lovely feed sack fabrics. I think the turquoise flower on the first photo is a lily of the valley. That's what they are called here anyway. Enjoy all of your great gifts from Lorraine.

What a gorgeous parcel Nanette. Milo, my kids were brought up on Milo and Vegemite. Milo's great either hot or cold. Cold just add a couple of teapoons to a glass of cold milk and stir. Hot, make it the same as you would a hot chocolate. It's also great sprinkled over vanilla ice-cream.

Lovely gifts, just your style too. I haven't seen chicken scratch in years, it makes for a nice touch on the tea cozy.
PS A few days behind on my comment, lost our internet for a couple of days. Hadn't realized how much we rely on it.
