It was kind of a frustrating Saturday. You know those days - 1 step forward and 2 back. I did manage to get some things done though.
It was a nice spot in the day on Saturday when my friend Laura came to see me late in the afternoon. I was still in my nightgown. She brought me a movie and Peeps. It is fabulous when a friend knows you enough to know what you need and when you need it. Thanks again Laura.
I had some ribbon made for me at Name Maker. I admit. I stole the idea from Pam. Thanks Pam. You always have such fabulous ideas.
I decided to use it when finishing up my quilted valentines but I didn't get the ribbon tag on all of my valentines - I just didn't think to use it until most of them were completed. I think it looks cute in the back tucked into the binding. Hmm I wonder what it would look good tucked into the front instead of the back? Or is that over the top?
I put together one of my bags from my "Mixed Bag to Quilt" pattern. I have made at least 25 of these bags and I enjoy making them every time. It is a fun way to showcase great fabric.
This is the first ribbon I ordered from Name Maker a while ago. I think I like the little tiny ribbon better.
I know this is just too much but I put the little green ribbon in the side of the bag, too. This is a sample bag so I'm allowing myself some name indulgence.

Busy week ahead!

The ribbon is great...so many uses for it! And your bag is wonderful! I can't wait to make mine...I'm making myself finish my tea swap projects first, though!

If that is a slow weekend I cannot guess what a busy one was!!!

Wow! I love that ribbon.. I might have to order some. I can agree with other comments.. if that was a slow weekend.. what would you consider a fast weekend? You are a total inspiration!

Name indulgence is just fine. We all look for items with the label of our favorite designer and so why not your label!!! I have not done any sewing because I am so busy really organizing/tossing in my sewing room. Your purse kit is one of the first things I will be sewing up when I finally start sewing. I actually cleared enough room now that I could lay out a big quilt on the floor!! It really feels good to not have so much clutter! I sure do like all the fabrics you post.

The ribbon is great! I love it. I love how it looks sewn on the side but I often forget to use it. Somehow it looks so professional doesn't it?

Oh, I say.....indulge away. Love that ribbon idea.

And then I just need to say what fine taste your friend has. Becoming Jane is a most favorite of mine!! "Don't be a boobie."

I missed that ribbon! Definitely going to check it out. I've been meaning to make my own, but just hasn't been on the top of my list. And everytime I make something, I think, "I really should do that." So maybe you gave me the bug bite I needed this time! Or the bee sting! LOL. ooxx`jod

I always pick up such neat ideas when I read your blog. I had been wondering how I could label gifts I'd sewn to make them more personal. Thanks again.

I'm still in love with that bag. I love the ribbon too. I thought about printing out what I want on t-shirt transfer and ironing that on ribbon. Like yours better.

I love that bag!! I have yet to make a bag as I'm somewhat nervous about my skill (more lack of skill) with the sewing machine turning it into a mess but this is SO tempting!!
The little ribbon label is brilliant -- love it!

I just love your bag pattern! I entered a giveaway recently and the question was, "what would you do with this fabric" and I said I would make one of your cute bags with it! I will be buying your pattern in the near future. I just love it!

I understand the 1 step forward and 2 steps back thing - I do that "dance" more often than I'd care to admit. Laura is the perfect girlfriend!
I LOVE the ribbon! It is such a great idea. I may have to have a ribbon with my name on it. I think everyone deserves some "name indulgence". I love the goodies you've been creating, too - very pretty!
