Alpine Days I

Last Saturday was our home town quilt show during the week long city celebration. This is a yearly event and it is my very favorite quilt show because I know many of the quilters that bring quilts to the show and its fun to mingle with friends in our town. Every year Paula and Sherry take the time to hang the quilts and man the show. Its a great service to us quilters and the community. Thanks Paula and Sherry.

Unfortunately my camera was having a focus problem because of the sky lights in the church gymnasium. So they are less than great pictures. I'll split the quilt pics into 2 posts. I apologize in advance for not remembering who all the quilts belong to. I suppose I should have gone home right that day and posted them because I tried to make a point of noting who made the quilts. Sorry girls. Many of the quilts are made by Syd, Flora, Sherry, Paula, Judi, Kae, Laurel, Gena, me and many others. The quality of quilts from our town is quite amazing.

This quilt was made by a group of young women from our town and it was very sweet.

Blurry, sorry.

Sorry blurry again, but this was a really darling quilt.

More from this show later. I wish all my pictures had turned out. Oh well.

...this post was so good for my little quilter. I sorta forgot the feeling of Awe and Ohhhh which sometimes turns into inspiration.

The newly inspired Mistress of LeeHaven, *karendianne.

(ps: I can't pick a favorite either!)

Wow! What a great quilt show for your town celebration! We had our first one this year and I didn't even make it so I don't know how it turned out. Hopefully they'll continue the event and it will become as nice as yours! Love the row quilt and lots of the others.....

The bright baskets are fun and the airplane quilt too. Soooo many cute quilts and ideas! Sorry about the double post :( The computer burped when I hit PUBLISH COMMENTS. Of your dresses the two black and then the red are my favorites if I HAD to pick, you know, like if I was going to wear one of them. :D
