Fabbbulous Fabric Friday - Exchange

Jenny at Blempgorf has many talents among which are: maker of fabulous quilts, creative cupcakes and owner/lover of vintage fabric. Jenny advertised a potential vintage fabric swap on her blog and I quickly asked if I could participate. She sent me such amazing fabrics. Now I get so send her some of my stash. I hope she likes what I sent half as much as I like her stash cuts. All the fabric is unique and wonderful. Most are in 1/2 yard cuts! Isn't this vintage floral delightful. I have plans for it immediately.I first found Jenny's blog when True Up showcased a few of Jenny's fabulous vintage pieces. And then I was hooked. She makes the most creative quilts and cupcakes you will find. And the combination of them together makes for an interesting and eclectic mix. I love the dainty daisies in this blue fabric. From Jenny's blog I found Mary and her Momoo blog. Mary is Jenny's mom, a quilter and wonderful gal. Both blogs are must reads. This sweet fabric above has the best colors. I love them. I have immediate plans for this one, too. I'm working on a new floral quilt.
This one as well will probably make it into my new project. The colors make the design just pop. This red piece made my heart skip a beat. Oh I love kitchen prints. Can you say fussy cut?
Patchwork hearts from yesteryear and in a border print. Gotta love it. This will indeed make something special.
I have an idea in mind for this print. It will be perfect in scale, print and color. I hope I get to it before the end of the summer.
Oh turquoise! Another color I'm in love with. My Alpine Group Anniversary Sampler will be a perfect spot to dab with a bit of this fabric.
I certainly remember seeing this print on Jenny's blog. The beehives are me! And that little bear couldn't be cuter. You've got to enlarge this photo and see his antics. The little bees are darting from flower to flower. I've got to find a way to incorporate this into an image for my blog. So so so cute.
One thing Jenny is famous for is her baby quilts. This little juvenile novelty has such a darling school yard scene in perfect colors. I see fussy cutting in this one's future. Think how cute it will look in my Quilt Street quilt (when I ever finish it!) next to a patchwork school.
I'm thinking this floral will go in my flower quilt too. The colors are soft and fresh. All the fabrics from Jenny were in perfect mint shape and washed and ironed ready for use. This is absolutely a fabulous fabric week for me (remember the pigtail feed sack! yum). Thanks so much Jenny. I love them all.

It is Utah Shop Hop week and though I don't have much time, I'm hoping to squeeze in at least 3 stores this afternoon and tomorrow. Also, Nedra from Cactus Needle and Kim from Bitty Bits and Pieces are coming to visit me today. Yayyy.

Thank you for your kind comments. Jenny mentioned that you had received her fabric and maybe it would be on your Friday Fabric blog. You and Jenny seem to like the same style of vintage fabric, I know she was happy you agreed to trade fabrics.
Enjoy your shop hop, sounds like a lot of fun.

i have the same bear & beehive fabric (in a mustard yellow background)--i think it's perfect (in small doses) in a 1930's palette. i got the fabric when i took a quilting class and another lady brought her "uglies" to share with everyone. isn't it funny how one person's trash is another person's treasure!

V. here... Sometimes when I look at your vintage fabrics I remember them as if it were yesterday. Too bad I didn't keep some. Oh how fun- the shop hop! I went last year when we were passing through UT for one day. I wish that I could go again this year. Hope you give some details of your fun.
