A few weeks ago
Michelle, otherwise known as Dresden Quilter, had a give-away on her blog.
And I won! I received
Michelle's package this week. The fabric is in my favorite colors reds, yellow and a touch of green. They are lovely. Thank you so much Michelle. Michelle has a great blog and I've been a reader for years.
I have also been a long time (well in blog time) reader of Jodie
at Ric Rac. In fact I won a give-away at
Jodie's blog probably 2 years ago (a fabulous selvage scarf!). Anyway, I have been adoring Jodie's fabric teapot and teacup from afar. She recently came out with a pattern I purchased at her
Etsy Shop. Isn't the pattern so cute. Jodie sent along a few treats with her pattern. Thanks so much Jodie! I love them all. I will be making the teacup and saucer as soon as I get a spare moment. The teapot will have to wait.
At the end of next week I'm going south 5 hours to St. George to sew with my good friends and my sisters. I'm very excited. I'm going to be sewing with 2 of my own sisters plus
Nedra,
Lori,
Rae Ann,
Dawn,
Sherri and maybe meet
Glenna. Today I'm pulling fabric to take with me to make
"Gypsy Kisses" with
Nedra's help. I've been wanting to make this quilt for a while. I'm not a fan of foundation piecing but for this I'll do my best and take it on.
We will also be making
Lori's "
Eat Cake". So I'm really excited to use the kit I got when I went to the
American Quilting retreat. My finished product will not look like Lori's above, but hopefully it won't be too far off. I'm not great with embroidery. I hope the gals will help me.

Wow, congrats! It looks like you have some fun sewing times ahead of you. Have a great weekend!
Jennifer :)
Lovely fabrics you won and the pattern is so cute. But it's your sewing weekend with all those great blogging gals that really sounds fun! Can't wait to see photos of your adventure. Lori's "Eat Cake" pattern is so cute! Will be fun to see your version!
Fun new treasures! That teapot, cup and saucer -- oh my! May have to run over to Etsy. Good thing I live close. I've been wanting to get back to my Gypsy Kisses quilt. I was fondly reminded of it when I was finishing up the basket quilt (I started gypsy kisses in Kaffes and batiks and knew that my fabric project piles had co-mingled). I'm sure yours will look great! Sounds like you'll be surrounded by great helpers!
I got myself the teapot pattern too! It is so cute. Hope to make it this weekend!
Wonderful fabric from Michelle - she's such a sweetie!
Hey can I be your long lost sister and come to St George, too. :-)
Nanette, you're the busiest person I know! But isn't it good to be able to go and to do what makes you happy! Have a good time.

You have some great projects lined up. As for me, I really like paper-piecing....and I'm sure you will do just fine with that AND with the "cake" project embroidery.
