Fabric Friday - Fun Stuff

Fabric Friday is usually about what I'm working with at the moment or what I've placed on my cutting table to inspire me.  So, today's post is a bit of both - what I've been working with and what is inspiring me.
If  you travel anywhere in blog land right now you've had to note Cath Kidston's USA website.  I am not even going to give a link to it because it is too tempting and addicting.  Stay away!  These little pieces of lovely above are so "me" it is like Cath is in my head.  They look like bedroom wallpaper from Dick and Jane's house where the bed would be perfectly made and sun would be shining in the window. The scale is pretty large.  But they really aren't quilting weight.  However, this is perfect if you're thinking of making Christmas gifts.  Which I'm starting to think about.
What would fabric Friday be without showing kitchy kitchen fabric.  I love kitchen fabric and this one in 2 colorways is delightful.  It makes me want to make a kitchen quilt.  Again!
Still on my cutting table are some of my little embellishments.  One of the quilts I sent off to RJR for Quilt Market later this month is a baby version of my "All Dressed Up" quilt.  I really love to embellish and fussy cut so these little doo-dads come in handy when finishing up a little dress after applique.  Usually I get my embellishments on Etsy.  These come from this shop but there are lots of little Etsy shops you can get embellishments from.
Sometimes I hand stitch them on an applique article and sometimes I just carefully machine stitch with my darning foot.
RJR didn't say much to me about my dress quilt after I mailed it so I hope they like it.  I tend to lay on the embellishments a bit thick with buttons, trim, and little fussy cuts so I hope I didn't over do it.  But I can't wait to show it to you at the end of the month.
Happy Weekend everyone.

I love the florals. I have the funny feeling I have some in my stash. LOL! THose kitchen prints are just awesome. You just have the best nose for finding cute fabrics!!!! Looking forward to seeing your smaller version of "All dressed up". I love embellishments and crazy quilting so I believe you can never have too many buttons, bows, or cute things on a piece. :-)

Oh no, despite your advice I googled Cath Kidston USA. Big mistake, I'm hyperventilating.

In my experience, that's just the industry. Not hearing anything is probably a good thing. Hmm Maybe this will make me feel better too!
