Alpine Quilt Group Nov. 2010 - Inspiration Night

It is the end of 2010. I've been working on my Alpine Quilt Group project throughout the year led by Jina. Last night we got our final block revealed by Jina.
The last block is the stocking block shown above on Jina's flimsy. I can't wait to make by blocks and add them to my quilt. I've loved making this project. And I'm anxious to get it done and get it quilted.

The first thing at Quilt Night, we have show-n-Tell. I didn't get pictures of everyone's quilts but here are a few highlights.

Flora presented our theme for next year, which is Inspiration. She discussed where and how to get inspiration and challenging us for next year to use different mediums in our quilts.

Then Flora had Janice, a fantastic A list quilter, present a trunk show

Janice is a true artist. I loved seeing her quilts. She has a different color palate than I do and it makes me want to stretch into different colors.

I'm off to lunch with the girls. So I gotta run.

Thanks for sharing these. I've snuck away from cleaning and now that I've seen these I am inspired. Much rather spend the rest of the day sewing then cleaning.
