I've gotten so I really don't decorate too much for holidays but I always have something going on in my entryway.
No matter the season or holiday we usually have candy in this jar. Everyone dips into this jar from time to time, even guests (like Mason's friends). This jar reminded me of my colored vintage Christmas balls hiding in the closet.I decided that I loved these vintage balls too much to put them in a closet for 10 1/2 months out of the year. So I removed the red and green and found mostly pastelish colors. I put them in this jar and have them on my entryway side board. I may never put them away. I'm thinking of red, white and blue Christmas balls for summer.
See how pretty they look. I feel like starting a movement to get those beautiful vintage glass balls out of every closet and into the decor of the home where they can be admired and enjoyed.
I put a few things on my 3 tired plate set that remind me of spring or Easter. I had these funny little vintage Easter bunnies that I wired onto the rack to hop along the bunny trail.
And since it is spring I put up my April Showers umbrella quilt. This is one of my all time classic quilts that is now probably 8-9 years old. It is an original pattern. I've never seen anything like it anywhere. I think it is so unique.

Enough about me. Are you ready for Easter? We plan coloring and hiding eggs with Allison this weekend. Fun.

I love your April showers quilt!
Such a beautiful way to use the ornaments. You are right. They are to nice to be hidden away most of the year. I LOVE your umbrella quilt and so perfect for Spring.
I love your April Showers quilt Nanette! I'm waiting for showers here! Too dry. Have a happy Easter and fun coloring eggs. Why didn't I do that with Audrey yesterday?
Oh I want the pattern for the quilt!!!! Super cute.
That April Showers quilt is so cute Nanette. I don't really decorate much anymore either -- which is sad 'cause I have some pretty cute Easter stuff. Have fun with Allison!
I'm jealous of your entry! Your 3 tier stand, those cute bunnies, your singin' in the rain umbrella quilt. I'm also jealous of those vintage christams ornaments and oh yeh, didn't I see a fabulous red handbag on your blog here not to long ago? Well, I'm jealous of that too!!!
HA!
How adorable!
The best way to greet guests! Love it all. Good idea about the pretty globes.
Your ornaments look great with Easter decorations! Like the idea!
Love the jar filled with candy and your ornaments. I've gotten to where it's a chore to decorate. I used to love it but not really now. I love all my things but just dragging it all out and putting it away......not so much.
Love love love that umbrella quilt.
Happy Easter
I wish I had vintage ornaments in my closet! I love them. Was just looking for them on line this week :). What a great entry way...it is fun to celebrate without too much work.
Isn't it funny how the things that we didn't value that much at the time are now so precious to us? I love the old ornaments, but I don't have a lot of them left. How clever of you to use the pastels to decorate for Spring!
Have fun with Allison and the Easter eggs!
Makes me want to visit the antique mall for ornament hunting :)
I just love the umbrellas - you always make such lovely quirky quilts! Hope the weather is good for the egg hunt. We had wonderful sunshine with record breaking temperatures last week in the UK,and now we have snow. Luckily it`s in the north and we live in the south.
Hope the Easter bunnies are generous. Happy Easter! Joan
Tea cups and bunnies! so cute!!
Have a wonderful Easter :)
I LOVE seeing your ornaments out!! I just picked some up and packed them away for winter, wishing I had some place to display them year round....time to go hound the hubs for some built ins. LOL
I love the April Showers quilt. Will you share the pattern? I'm new to Pinterest and not sure how this works when you see something you like; help?
