Lori is having a Great-Granny Block Along this month. I've been looking forward to Lori's block party but find myself overwhelmed and totally incapable of making a completely new project right now.
However, considering Queen Elizabeth II is a great grandmother, I thought I could squeeze one great-granny block into my London 2012 quilt. After all, the theme fits Queen great-granny.
This weekend I'm going to lay out more blocks and start assembling London 2012. At some point I have to call it enough.

Freda, I have to admit I haven't visited your blog in some time so I enjoyed spending some time this morning perusing the many projects you are involved in. I had forgotten how much I love your blog. I must see if I can get you to come thru on my email feed so I won't forget. I do love the London quilt and the many different crowns...so unique. I was captivated by your post about Slovakia and your daughter going there to see your ancestors hometown. I'm fascinated by geneology although I don't take the time to pursue it. Your daughter is gorgeous BTW!!! I would love to go to Scotland and Ireland to see our family cemetary...I've been told an entire cemetary with my husband's family name is there. My maiden name is *Shrewsbury* which is a town in England and the Earl of Shrewsbury. Anyhoo, I wanted to take the time to leave a comment and let you know how much I enjoy your quilting endeavors and your blog. PS For those of you asking if this is going to be a pattern, the answer is no. I've used ideas from other sources and this is such a timely project that I'm not going to make a pattern. Thanks for asking! rent in london
