Things I've been working on

I had big plans for getting a lot done this weekend. But it didn't really happen. I had a tooth ache and Mr. Hive has bronchitis. I'm trying to pretend I don't need a root canal. Oh well. I have a few things I've been working on to show.
This is a small Dresden. You can't tell from the picture but it is rather small.
Bigger and blue. I told you. Blue is becoming a color I reach for.
Some misc. blocks I'm working on for a project above and below.

And a kettle. Hope you all had a nice weekend.

Hi Nanette...LOVE your dresdons of course and your other blocks too...I laughed when you said that you are pretending that you don't need a root canal...I did that once too until I realized pretending only took me so far....ha!
Oh well, it was fun while it lasted so my advice to you is to stretch it out a bit longer, take some ibuprofin and caffiene... and do a few more blocks!...lol
I hope your hubby gets feeling better...
have a good productive Monday (if there is such a thing)...

Root canals ----UGH! Not fun. Don't blame you for trying to ignore. Good luck with that.

Fabric yumminess -----YAY! Beautiful. Love your choices.

I am pretending that I don't have the "hives" but I do. It appears that it may be due to a new medication I began taking on Friday but I'm waiting on a call from my doctor to make sure. Think of me as wearing "polka dots". :-) I love the Dresden plates and the blue tea kettle in that tulip fabric is soooooo sweet!

Oh, and feel better soon. "Pretend" tooth problems are not fun. Don't wait too long to see your dentist.

OOh, pretty Dresdens with hardly any repeat fabrics--fun! You know, I have had the center pinned to a Dresden block for about 9 years. Maybe I should sew it down, LOL!

The apron and pants on the washline and the kettle, pan and spoons...I see a theme coming up.

I'm liking blue more and more too. Have you seen Dolly Dresses 3 at FQS? Nice! Love your blocks!

great blocks - as always! I'm such a sucker for dresden plates. Make me all weak at the knees every time I see one.

Hope the tooth is better soon :(

Looks like a very productive weekend to me. I hope both you and Dave are feeling better soon. Isn't there a dentist somewhere in that big family of yours? Someone who can give you FREE advice?

Don't put off that root canal because of the pain. It could turn in to losing a tooth. I had an existing root canal and crown that failed after years and years of good use. Then it started hurting me and I kept putting it off until after the wedding and the pain just kept getting worse so I went in six days before the wedding and had to have it pulled because of an abscess. Now I have to have an implant. I really don't mind getting older it's just the pain of it. If you know what I mean. lol.

I really LOVE the colors in your dresdens. Very fresh and very pretty.

Gosh would you look at those cuteamous blocks! Cutest little tea kettle. So shocking to see it in blue. hee! :) Really really happy to see the Dresden plates in the works. Everything so happy and cute. I'm bummed out about the toothache. Hate those. Hate even thinkin' about it. Wishin' it away...

Those spokes in the Dresden blocks are tiny!! What a pretty quilt they'll make!
Hope the toothache goes away and you don't need a root canal.

Love your dresdens - especially the blue one. It's very nice in the monotone colors.

I think I would be like you and pretend that I didn't have a toothache. Going to the dentist isn't a favorite pass time of mine. But I still faithfully go every 6 months to avoid any catastrophic problems. Hope the hubs feels better soon. I am absolutely adoring your dresdens!! Looking forward to seeing more.

You have some sweet looking blocks there. I love the blue dresden and the teapot or is it a kettle, could be either I guess. That's my favourite. Get yourself to the Dentist, you'll be glad when the toothache goes.

I need to try a dresden plate - I saw a tutorial online (which I hope I saved :D)that made it look fairly easy - it's such a pretty block! Your applique blocks are pretty too - I especially love that blue print in the tea kettle!

Now --- back away from the computer and get yourself to a dentist!!!
