Our little group consisted of Lori, Pam, Elizabeth and me. Before we landed at Syd's we had a little shopping at Material Girls. You can read all about the shopping at Pam's blog in this post. This is the wonderful host, Syd in her fantastic kitchen. Syd has created a lovely place to stay, sew, eat and enjoy. Her home is amazing and everything was perfection.
Our meals were delicious and thought was given to each detail. Having such a great place to be together gave us the opportunity to enjoy each others company and have time to sew.
This is Pam's set-up. She was working on Lori's Vintage Dishes pattern.
Elizabeth opted to knit and crochet.I worked on Lori's Cherry Cheesecake pattern. It was nice to have Lori there to help me.
Lori worked on a new Cotton Way pattern.
Here is part of our progress on the design wall in the work room.
At the end of the retreat the plug to my featherweight machine pulled apart. Darn it. But Mr. Hive can easily fix this.
Here we are framed against the lovely mountains. Oh it was so hard to say goodbye when it was time to part. I had a lovely time. These ladies are friends.

A lovely time with friends is always a very good thing. Thank you for sharing.
You lucky ducks! Quilt Market AND a retreat? You gals know how to have fun!
Your retreat looks like so much fun Nanette! Good friends, good food and sewing...it doesn't get much better
I'm so glad you ladies had time together after Market. With all the work put in to getting ready, you all deserved to unwind at a place like Syd's.
What a wonderful time you all must have had...and what a great way to "unwind" from market!
It was a wonderful time. So sad to drive away from there and from all my UT friends. xo

Look at all the fun there! That was a great idea- I'm sure you have lots of great stories (that you can't tell)!
That looks like such fun!
Nanette, I absolutely love your picture with friends with that backdrop of mountains. A picture perfect shot! It's wonderful that you had gorgeous few days to enjoy the company of your best friends and just do what you love doing most with them... Your projects on the design wall are all super cute!
Have a great weekend!!
Looks like you had a wonderful time. Does Mr. Hive just fix your featherweight cords or does he do it for others? I have two that I would like to keep as original as possible but are in need of help.
YOU TURKEYS!!!!!! YES, it's NOT fair (as I cross my arms across my chest in a hard fast movement)...heck, I may just have to make me a "it's not fair" sign and wear it on my back, or maybe I could get my point across better if I wore the sign on my forehead!!!!!!!!!!!!
truly....it's not fair!
So much talent in one place, no wonder your plug blew~~~Great way to wind down from such a busy week.
Looks like you had a restful, productive, happy time! Perfection. Good for you!
That looks like a fantastic place...you lucky girl. Glad to have met you at market :)
Jealous....in a bloggy, friendly kind of way :-)!! Looks like a wonderful time.
Awwww, you girls are all so cute...and LUCKY! What a fun thing to do after market. I might be a teeny, tiny bit jealous -- but in a really good way!!!
