Matching Sweaters!!!

This has been a project that I've been very excited about. I discovered Eunny Jang's pattern for this deep v-neck sweater and instantly knew I had to make it. I wanted it a bit longer, and ended up making a few alterations to the pattern, but I essentially used the pattern as written.

As a quick note here, I'll mention how horrified my mother was when I explained that part of this pattern included cutting steeks. She told me that, "it was the worst idea ever" and predicted disaster for the sweater. Luckily, things turned out well, but I was very careful while working the steeks.

I used Classic Elite one-fifty, and ended up having a few balls of yarn leftover. I knew instantly what I was going to do with this yarn. Since last winter, I have been thinking about making a sweater for our family dog, Shadow to wear in cold weather - especially soon after he's had a haircut.

I know that now my dog and I have matching sweaters, that puts me in a certain category of crazy, but I really couldn't care less. This was a fun project, and I'm pleased with the results.

It was very easy to modify this pattern for his size - and I think it ended up fitting him quite well, although it is a little small in the neck region.-

You both look fabulous! Your sweater is lovely - I think cutting steeks would be terrifying! What a great knitter you are - the pattern is fantastic! And your Shadow looks like our Simon's little brother!

You both look adorable!

I should tell you that we love our dogs so much that, if it were possible, we would dress our dogs and take them to church with us! :):):) We all have a little "crazy" in us!

Happy day!

Your dog looks so nice and comfy and cute! I'm not really a knitter, so I don't know what a steek is, but it sounds hard. Good job on those sweaters!

The sweaters are wonderful. Your little dog looks like my maggie who is a cocker poo. Her nickname is cujo because she can get pretty protective!

How adorable - matching sweaters! I know nothing about knitting (is it knitting?), so this looks very difficult to me. You did a very nice job!
