Mary of Mary's Cottage Quilts is a local and national quilt designer. Mary has a website and a blog. I met Mary once before. She's a delight and I really love her quilts. Mary's background is in graphic design and you can really tell her talents when you look at her quilts.
One of the things I really loved about the trunk show was Mary's quilt patterns that she has made in 2 or more color combinations/fabrics. It is really fun to see the design emerge
I really liked this quilt. The blue with the pink flowers is stunning.
Here is Mary telling us her story and her road to making her own quilt business.
Love this Kaffe fabric paired with this design.
This was one of my favorite quilts.
I love the one on the left especially.
This "Eye Spy" has Mason written on the side. Not my Mason, of course.
I posted the best pictures from her trunk show. There were more, of course, but these really give you a feel for how lovely Mary's quilts are and what a great designer she is.
Thanks so much for coming to Alpine Mary!

I have some of Mary's patterns and follow her blog. Such a nice lady with so much talent. How fun to have her come to your Alpine Group.
Mary has some beautiful quilts! Thanks for sharing!
Wow, you're not kidding, Nanette. Mary is an incredible designer.
I admire people who can do two of anything. With me...one and it's done. I just don't have the patience to make two of anything because I get bored so quickly.
Gorgeous quilts and thanks for sharing them.
Wow! Mary has some great quilts. I'm partial to stars, so I really like her star quilts!
Okay! I think I like "old fashioned" better than " slide show". One can look longer (or flip faster if your face is in it) Really.
Thanks for documenting something I think is very important and as dear to my heart as our group meetings.
love!
I'm an old fashioned kinda gal, so I agree w/Flora! We were able to look longer :) Tks so much for the Show! Are all the peaches preserved???
Nanette, You are awesome!! Wow, I feel like I took over your blog today! Thanks SO much for all the pics, and the kind words. You are so very nice!!
I was so fun to be there with all of those talented women - WOW!!!
Thanks so much!
Mary
Thanks for sharing. It is always neat to see the same pattern in different colorways.
Those are all gorgeous. I particularly love the last one! Thanks for sharing.
Oh goodness to have been there. I love seeing the different colorways. It really helps me grow as a quilter since I don't often see things outside of my palette. There are so many here to make note of but I thought I'd try and say I loveee (1) the way she used the Kaffe fabric (Target Print) for a border. I have that print and never would have thought! Very cool. (2) I also love the blue and pink flowers. The way its put together really is stunning. I agree! And finally (3) I liked the Stars and Rails just before the perfect for Mason quilt. :)
Enjoyed the show! *karendianne.
Mary sure is a talented gal and she had some lovely quilts....I like star quilts too!!
Wow - Mary is truly talented, Nanette! I love seeing how different the same quilt looks in different fabrics, too! Thanks for sharing!
