The Birds?

Growing up one of my favorite movies was "The Birds". I love Hitchcock movies. As I was sewing my new bird quilt tonight I suddenly was stricken with the worry that my birds all lined up on tree branches might look like the movie "The Birds"! So now I'm concerned that it might not look vintage, cute and spring-like but creepy and scary? I hope not. I have been looking for sashing in a leaf type pattern and haven't found anything I really like. Most leaf fabric is either autumn, the wrong color/look, or Thimbleberries-like. When I went to Broadbent's this past Saturday I saw this new Moda paisley fabric in their Za Za line and thought of my blog pal at Purple and Paisley. I really like it and I hope it works out like I imagine. I'm not 100% set on it yet but its very nice and it's not quite as olive as it appears in my picture. Of course my sashing would be much narrower than shown below.
I'm going to keep on designing and sewing my new quilt and hope that it doesn't end up looking like the birds are lining up to attack me as they did Tippy Hedren. - nanette

Sometimes I am still afraid if birds fly to near me! We had a bird family nesting by our front door once. When their eggs hatched, the parent birds would attack us when we got anywhere near them. It was the front door, for crying out loud! We were attacked 20 times a day!!!
Your birds remind me of spring, and leafy tree tops!

The green paisley will be wonderful. I see them in my mind's eye on a clothesline wire - lined up. :-)

They are adorable. Will you write a pattern?
