It's Friday. And I do have some fun Japanese fabric to show today. I am helping Flora with our Celebrate 30's night at our Alpine Quilt Group on Tuesday and I'm going to take a couple of the 30s repros to show. So below is a mix of 30's and others. This light green in feed sack logo print is really fun. I love words on fabric and this one is exciting because it has so much packed into one print.
Along with collecting kitchen novelty fabrics but I also really like sewing novelty fabrics. This one has words and sewing icons.
And you know I love dresses. Isn't this sweet dress and purse fabric so cute.
This is a 30's Japanese repro. I used this fabric for a roof on one of my kitchens. I talk about that next week.
This yellow 30's repro print is really sweet. I could look at it all day. In fact I may put it up as my wallpaper.
I have this kitchen words fabric in red and green. The green is a perfect green. This photo doesn't do it justice but I love this color.
This is just a fun dot with words and names on it. I can think of some fun uses for it.
I thought this was interesting. Both of these blue prints are really similar. But the blue is so different. They both are by Lecien and both say Flower Sugar on the selvage. So would one of them be a first run? I have seen the upper blue with all the other Flower Sugar fabrics out for sale but this lower blue seems to belong to a different run of this print. I wonder what the story is behind the 2 color choices. If there is one.
Strawberries are so fun on fabrics and this print above has a jumble of colors and designs so it is easy to use bits of it for different projects.I have this print in different color ways. It is so fresh and happy. If you didn't already notice I love roses in fabric.

You always manage to come up with something completely different. I love the fabric with the pretty dresses on.
Beautiful fabrics! That dress fabric is so pretty.
Great fabrics! I love the dress and sewing fabrics best. It will be interesting to find out the story on the two flower sugar fabrics!
Such wonderful fun fabrics. I love them all !

I LOVE 30's fabric and I'm so sad that so many stores are not carrying it now or are cutting down on their inventory of it. I always look forward to your Friday's because you show such great fabric!
oh my goodness, is that sewing fabric adorable or what? and the feed sack logo fabric? gasp - love it! ☺
Excuse me? You are helping Flora Tuesday night? With all that is going on in your life right now, how do you do it all?
Wish I could be there to share in the fun, but I'll just have to wait for you and Judi and Kim's Show And Tell.
beautiful fabrics - as always. What I'd give for a day spent in your fabric stash. Oh joy!
I think there were 2 runs of flower sugar - if I remember right. There was a muted one a while back, and then the vivd one this time round. Someone will no doubt correct me if I just dreamt that, though!
All this fabric is so light, fun and uplifting.
I would love to play in your stash, Nanette.
You know, I know they say yarn come in dye lots, but I did not think fabric did, boy is that different, still pretty, but yes, different. Love all that you showed today.
You must have sooooooo much fun when it comes time to "pick fabric for a new project!" Loved all of today's choices, with a special fondness of the "sewing themed fabric!" Gorgeous on all counts :) Happy weekend wishes coming back to you :)
What wonderful fabrics...especially the dress & purse print. I have to laugh that I discovered your blog thru my Australia friends, but I live in Utah....thank goodness to the World of Quilt Blogs!
Aahhh. Yes, I have to agree; those ARE fabulous fabrics!
what a lot of great fabrics, and I have every confidence that you will come up with a unique use for each and every one. Love that fertile imagination of yours!
I love these fabrics, I'm mad for anything with text on it. I think Lecien must have done two colour runs because the pale blue has co-ordinating fabrics that I have as well as the one you've got.
I always drool at your collection. So so sweet and charming :)
Have fun playing with them!
Absolutely with you on that 30s yellow repro print!
I don't know why that happens, but it's Barbara (oodles and oodles) with that string of numbers there!
That is so interesting about the two blues on the same fabric. Maybe one was in a cardboard or something and the other in the sun? What fun though.
Wow, I'm over dosing on eye candy! Love the feed-sack fabric!
Cheers!
All very gorgeous - like Janet, me too, I love fabric with text on it - I always stop to read!
Hugs - Lurline♥
Great fabrics, especially the dressy one. Dream away with it!
You always have the best fabrics Nanette! I LOVE that second fabric -- the sewing novelty one!!!
Definitely two different Flower sugar lines. How do I know. Well I might just own them both.
Loved your 30's fabrics this week.
I seem to go against the flow with words on fabric. Doesn't do it for me.
I can hardly wait until Tuesday to see these fabrics up close and personal. I love them all. You have such a talent to do something with every little scrap and novelty piece. I, on the other hand, love them, admire them, but can't think of a thing to do with them!
I love all of the fabrics, especially the dress fabrics.
Thanks for sharing!

Great fabrics. I especially like the ones with words. Aren't they just fun?!
You have the best collection of fabrics! I relly like the dresses and the word one too.
Very pretty! Are they all reproductions? Any old feed sacks?
More fun fabrics. I like the dress fabric the best. Very cute.
These are all such great fabrics. I just love to get online and search for new Japanese fabrics, especially the retro stuff. The yellow one is so cheerful!
You find the most interesting fabrics!! The first one is incredible.
nanette,
if you look at the lecien lines, they will keep the same name for a line, and then issue new fabrics/colors for it.
i have *flower sugar* from last market, and it is different from the flower sugar fabric that PKM was using in her blog.
