Shelbie's Shawls

If you know me, you know that my daughter Shelbie is a fabulous and prolific knitter.  I'm always after her to make things for me.  And she does.  Isn't that wonderful?
This is Shelbie with one of the several shawls she has knitted this year.  I love a shawl.  Don't you?  You just wrap it around and go.  Shelbie uses great quality yarns so they wear wonderfully.

I got the idea that I wanted this shawl and sent shelbie the link from Rita at Red Pepper Quilts.  You can go to that link and see the shawls she has knitted.  I emailed Shelbie the link and I was so glad to get my warm, wonderful shawl, customized to me perfectly.
I love the stripes and I love the lace at the edge.  It is fun to see how each of them are so unique depending on the yarn Shelbie uses.  Don't you wish you had your own Shelbie?

Those shawls are really beautiful especially the lace at the edge. I can just barely knit and when I do, its normally tight. You are indeed a lucky mom!!

Um, and I said that I knit....not like this though. Beautiful work and fine knitting, so it would take me a year at least!

Ms. Shelbie works the same magic with yarn as you do with fabric!

Wow!!!
Amazing work she does, and it's great that all you have to do is tell her what you want and voila! you get it!!
One of my daughter's has started knitting she says it's meditative. how long has she been at it? I've found it impossible and admire anyone who can do it, especially as well as Shelbie!

YES! I DO wish I had my own Shelbie. But that's not right. She's your very own blessing. And that shawl is just gorgeous! She is one very talented lady.

Um, Yes. Yes; I DO wish I had my own Shelbie! I'd have the girl busy day and night :-) Went to my favorite annual craft show today and the only booths (2) that made me go "awwww!" were the ones with the wee little handknit sweaters. LOVE them. GREAT job Shelbie!

Beautiful shawls. Does Shelbie have a blog? I knit and crochet and am always in search of others who share my passions. :)

I love your shawl. She's such a nice daughter to make you a shawl, but then again, she does have an awesome Mom, too!

Blessings to you both. :)

Love the shawl. I bet you will look dashing in it. I would love to see you in it. Do you know what pattern she uses or is it her own creation? If so she should get it printed.

I sent my mom the pattern. She said she would have it finished in 10 years. You are lucky to have Shelbie :)
